Badges / Profile Badges
You can earn badges to proudly display on your profile page by subtitling and segmenting on Viki! Most badges are automatically applied to profile pages after you achieve certain milestones.
Blacklisting
Blacklisting is the action of a group or authority, compiling a blacklist of people, countries or other entities to be avoided or distrusted as not being acceptable to those making the list.
Channel
A page on the website that has videos, comments, reviews, cast information and more.
Gold QC
The highest tier of Contributor on Viki.com. Gold QCs have contributed 20,000+ on Viki.com. More information about QC tiers can be found here.
QC / Qualified Contributor
This is the first status that Contributors can earn a free VikiPass subscription with. More information about QC tiers can be found here.
QC Trainee / QCT
This is the lowest status that can be earned by Contributors on Viki.com. Reaching QC Trainee will grant you access to the QC Newsletter and special video access to titles like Viki Originals. More information about QC tiers can be found here.
Seggers
"Seggers" are Contributors who adjust sections in videos for subtitles to be entered on Viki.
Segging / Segging Tool
The segmenting tool that Segmenters use to contribute on Viki.com.
SockPuppeting
A sockpuppet is an online identity used for purposes of deception.
Spoiler(s)
A spoiler is an element of a disseminated summary or description of any piece of fiction that reveals any plot elements which threaten to give away important details.
Subbers
"Subbers" are what Contributors who create subtitles on Viki are often called or referenced as.
Subber / Subber Tool
The subber tool is used by Contributors on Viki.com to create subtitles in different languages. The tool will play a video and show subtitles for languages completed allowing you to translate within the tool.
Virtual Parts
Every video should be split into virtual parts, we also call these 'parts' on Viki. Virtual parts are crucial to a channel team's productivity by allowing Contributors to work on the same video without encroaching on other team members working at the same time.
