How to assign the right role for each Editor position?

While (3) Editor positions are recognized at Viki, only two (2) Editors roles can currently be assigned when adding an Editor to a channel team. Use the table below to determine which Editor role should be assigned based on a Contributor’s main responsibilities.

As a general rule, the Editor role is used for those doing general editing or for someone in a Chief Editor position while the Translation Editor role is used for those doing translation editing. This applies across all languages.

See our help article “What is an Editor and what do they do” for a list of requirements that must be met for each Editor position.
